North West Provincial Legislature delegation attends the 2026 NCSL Legislative Summit in Chicago, USA

The Hon. Speaker of the North West Provincial Legislature, Dr. Desbo Mohono, is leading a delegation to the 2026 National Conference of State Legislatures (NCSL) Legislative Summit, currently taking place in Chicago, Illinois, USA, from 27–29 July 2026.

The delegation comprises the Secretary to the North West Provincial Legislature, Adv. Lutendo Netshitumbu, Hon. Michael Groenewald, Chairperson of the Standing Committee on Oversight of the North West Provincial Legislature, Hon. Tebogo Modise, Chairperson of Chairpersons and Chairperson of the Legislative Review and Implementation of Resolutions of the House Committee, Hon. Lerato Tsholo, Hon. Johanna Steenkamp, as well as the Speaker’s Support Staff member, Mr. Butcher Modibedi.

The NCSL Legislative Summit is a premier international forum that brings together legislators, parliamentary officials and governance experts to exchange knowledge, strengthen legislative institutions and discuss emerging global policy issues. The summit offers valuable opportunities to share best practices on effective governance, legislative oversight, technological innovation, public accountability and institutional leadership.
