The Standing Committee on Oversight over the North West Legislature led by Hon Michael Groenewald held an oversight meeting with the Speaker of the NWPL, Hon Desbo Mohono along with the management of the North West Provincial Legislature over the first quarter performance report for 2024/25 financial year and implementation of House Resolutions.
Amongst others, the committee commended the Speaker and the Secretary of the NWPL on achieving a clean audit for the 2023/24 financial year. “We commend and appreciate efforts taken by the Speaker and staff of the Legislature in achieving a clean audit for the first time in the history of the North West Legislature,” said Hon Groenewald.
The committee requested amongst other reports, the skills audit of all employees including management, vetting report, report on the number of foreigners employed within the Legislature precinct.
