NORTH WEST PROVINCIAL LEGISLATURE MOURNS THE PASSING OF HON. PRIMROSE BOGATSU

On behalf of all Members of the Provincial Legislature, Management and staff, Speaker Mohono has conveyed her heartfelt condolences to the Bogatsu family, the Economic Freedom Fighters and all those who had the privilege of serving alongside Hon. Bogatsu.

“Hon. Primrose Bogatsu served the people of the North West Province with commitment and dedication. Her contribution to the work of the Legislature and to the advancement of our constitutional democracy will be remembered with gratitude. During this difficult time, our thoughts and prayers are with her family, loved ones, colleagues and the Economic Freedom Fighters. May her soul rest in eternal peace”, Dr Mohono said.

The Legislature will communicate details relating to the memorial service and funeral arrangements once these have been finalized in consultation with the Bogatsu family and the Economic Freedom Fighters.

The North West Provincial Legislature will, however, convene a Memorial Sitting in honour of the late Hon. Bogatsu on Wednesday, 22 July 2026, at 10h00 in the Legislature Chamber.

The North West Provincial Legislature joins the people of the North West Province in mourning the passing of Hon. Primrose Bogatsu and honours her dedicated service to the institution and the people she represented.

Her legacy of public service will remain part of the democratic history of the Legislature.
