On Wednesday, 11 October 2023, the North West Provincial Legislature Portfolio Committee on Economic Development, Environment, Tourism, Agriculture and Rural Development led by Hon Bitsa Lenkopane conducted an oversight meeting with various farmers affected by the recent veld fire outbreaks that have been happening in some parts of Dr Ruth Segomotsi Mompati and the Bojanala district.
This was during the oversight week program that is currently taking place at various local municipalities in the Bojanala district. The program is aimed at strengthening oversight and public participation and to promote accountability and transparency in government.
