Requirements: Grade 12 Certificate coupled with a minimum NQF level 7 Qualification as recognised by SAQA in Information Technology/ Business Computing/ Computer Science/ any qualification in the ICT environment. A minimum of ten years relevant experience of which 5 years should be at middle management level. Knowledge of ORACLE System.

Knowledge:Understanding of MS environments. Information Technology hardware infrastructure.

Skills Required:Use of information technology in the execution of information management support services. Advanced Computer skills. Advanced negotiation skills. Financial management. Ability to operate within a demanding political and administrative milieu. Ability to work under sustained pressure. Ability to manage, train and develop information, communication technology.

Duties: Responsible for improving current operations and communication technology applications. Develop, implement and monitor adherence to ICT management policies, procedures, technical and quality standards. Liaise with executive management on the maintenance and development of the ICT infrastructure, storage capacity, recovery of data and ICT related risks. Provide direction into ICT planning, budgets and projects, as well as delivery of a high- quality ICT service to the North West Provincial Legislature. Develop systems for ICT as an enabler in the attainment of the NWPL Mandate. Ensure that information is integral, current accurate and abundant. Analyse and recommend “best practice” approach to information systems, communication technology, enabling and information transformation processes. Verify, validate and ensure completeness of data in primary/core applications/systems/technology to ensure data quality, consistency and integrity throughout the information content transformation value chain. Oversee the maintenance and development of technical internal platform of NWPL, liaise with Communications in all technical aspects of the development of the NWPL website . Provide project management support to key projects, working with external suppliers and partners, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery. Manage all ICT projects, ensuring that they are delivered in adherence to required standards. Ensure that NWPL ICT and its support remains secure, well managed and documented to the required standards. Perform any other function as maybe directed by the Supervisor
