This is a contract position for five (5) years.

The North West Provincial Legislature invites nominations for the position of Integrity Commissioner. Members of the Public and Organisations are invited to submit nominations.

The Integrity Commissioner shall perform duties specified under the Code of Conduct and Ethics for Members of the North West Provincial Legislature which include among others:

• Investigate any alleged violation of the Code of Conduct and Ethics upon receiving a complaint or on his or her own accord, and providing reports on the results of the investigation to the relevant structure of the Legislature,
• Develop and maintain a Register of Member’s interests,
• Provide personal advice and counsel to Members of the Legislature regarding the Code;
• Develop and implement systems in the Office of the Integrity Commissioner,

The North West Provincial Legislature (NWPL) hereby invites applications and nominations from fit and proper persons who are South African Citizens with knowledge of, or experience in Administration/Management within Organs of State to serve as a Commissioner for the Public Service Commission in the North West Province.

The Public Service Commission (PSC) is an independent Constitutional Institution and its powers and functions are set out in the Constitution and the Public Service Commission Act, 46 of 1997. The PSC must perform its functions without fear, favour or prejudice in the interest of the maintenance of effective and efficient Public administration and a high standard of professional ethics in the Public Service.

Requirements:

Main Functions:

Requirements: Grade 12 Certificate coupled with a minimum NQF level 7 Qualification as recognised by SAQA in the Administration Environment. Six (06) years Senior Management experience in the Corporate Services Environment. Proof of no criminal record to be attached. Valid Driving License.

Knowledge:Ability to manage and use allocated financial, information and other resources optimally. Applicable Prescripts in the Corporate Services.

Duties: Responsible to provide Strategic Support, Leadership and direction to the Human Resource, Facilities Management, Communications, Library and Registry, ICT and the Security Division of the NWPL.  Plan, direct and coordinate strategic support services activities of the NWPL to maximise the strategic use of human resources and the existing facilities. Develop the Support Services branch’s strategic plans and ensure implementation to achieve the NWPL objectives. Ensure compliance with relevant corporate services legislation and policies. Ensure that the branch’s strategic plans, quarterly and annual reports are submitted to the relevant stakeholders timeously. Oversee efficient resource allocation (finance, human resources, information systems, etc). Lead benchmark initiatives on corporate services best practices. Enhance the corporate image of the NWPL. Ensure the development, implementation and management of a registry system for the NWPL. Ensure the development, implementation and management of a records management system for the NWPL. Ensure the development and implementation of Information and Communication Technology strategies and solutions aligned to the NWPLs overall strategy. Oversee Compliance to the National Key Point Prescripts. Co-ordinate and execute the overall management and maintenance of the NWPL building and surroundings. Perform any other Function as may be directed by the Supervisor
