Vaal Reefs Hall, Orkney (Matlosana Local Municipality)
Kgetleng Municipal Hall, Koster (Kgetleng Local Municipality)
Ipelegeng Multipurpose Centre, Schweizer-Reneke (Mamusa Local Municipality)
All sessions commenced at 10h00.
About the Bill
The Division of Revenue Bill (B5–2026) provides for the equitable division of nationally raised revenue among the national, provincial, and local spheres of government for the 2026/27 financial year. It further outlines:
The determination of each province’s equitable share
Allocations to provinces and municipalities
The responsibilities of all three spheres of government arising from these allocations
Matters related to the implementation of the Bill
Public Participation
Relevant stakeholders, including Members of the public were invited to participate in the hearings and were also encouraged to make written submissions to Ms Agnes Masedi on 079 495 1958 or email Agnes@nwpl.org.za.
After this process a report will be consolidated from all districts that will be adopted by the Portfolio Committee and tabled during a House Sitting of the North West Provincial Legislature. After the process for adoption by the August House a report, negotiating and final mandates will be sent to the National Council of Provinces for consideration
