The Legislature’s TB (Tuberculosis) Caucus led by the Deputy Speaker, Hon. Collen Mokone Maine conducted oversight visits at Ganyesa and Tlakgameng Community Healthcare Centers to inspect compliance on the treatment of Tuberculosis and related chronic diseases.
The oversight visits in various healthcare centres in the Dr. Ruth Segomotsi Mompati District are part of the TB Awareness month themed “Yes! We Can End TB”, aimed at collective efforts to end the global threat of tuberculosis.
Although both centers’ treatment rate is at over 94 percent, they experience infrastructure challenges for the isolation and treatment of the chronic diseases. Medication has been delivered on time and there are regular awareness campaigns in the communities in Kagisano Molopo.
