The North West Legislature Standing Committee on Oversight over the North West Provincial Legislature, chaired by Hon. Michael Groenewald, held an oversight meeting with the Speaker, Dr. Desbo Mohono, the Secretary, Adv. Lutendo Netshitumbu, and senior management of the Legislature to consider the institution’s 2024/25 Annual Performance Report.
During the engagement, the Committee noted the Legislature’s achievement of a clean audit outcome for the year under review, with no unauthorized or irregular expenditure incurred. Discussions also focused on budget expenditure and committee allocations, challenges relating to ICT infrastructure, the processing of bills, the use of the Oracle payment system, and underperformance in tracking House resolutions.
