North West Legislature Public Participation Unit conducted pre-public hearing workshops on the Division of Revenue Amendment Bill 2024 and North West Adjustment Appropriation Bill 2024. Kgosi Letswalo of Legonyane Village, requested a workshop on the Bill since Legonyane will be one of the hosting village for the public hearings.
The Division of Revenue Amendment Bill [B13 – 2024] seeks to amend the Division of Revenue Act, 2024, in accordance with the Money Bills and Related Matters Act, 2009; and to provide for matters connected therewith.
The North West Adjustment Appropriation Bill 2024 aims to effect adjustments to the appropriation of money from the Provincial Revenue Fund for the requirements of the province in respect of the 2024/25 financial year; and to provide for the matters incidental thereto.
On Thursday, 28 November 2023, the North West Provincial Legislature Portfolio Committee on Premier and Finance chaired by Hon. Nathan Oliphant will be conducting public hearings on the Division of Revenue Amendment Bill [B13 – 2024] and North West Adjustment Appropriation Bill 2024 at Tshidilamolomo Tribal Hall in Tshidilamolomo, Mahikeng Local Municipality; Matlwang Community Hall in Matlwang, JB Marks Local Municipality; Coverdale Community Hall in Bloemhof, Lekwa Teemane Local Municipality and Legonyane Community Hall in Legonyane, Madibeng Local Municipality at 10h00.
