Standing Committee on Provincial Public Accounts, chaired by Hon. Smuts Matshe held a meeting with Municipal Public Accounts Committees (MPACs), the Provincial Treasury, and the Department of Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs.
The Chairperson of the Standing Committee, Hon. Smuts Matshe, outlined that the purpose of the meeting was for Provincial Treasury and the Department of Cooperative Governance, Human Settlements and Traditional Affairs to brief the committee on the support and training provided to Municipal Public Accounts Committee (MPAC) offices in municipalities. Additionally, MPAC offices presented on the functional structures with the necessary resources to perform their duties effectively.
