The Speaker of the North West Provincial Legislature, Hon. Desbo Mohono and the Chief Whip Hon. Motlalepula Rosho are attending the 67th Commonwealth Parliamentary Conference in Sydney, Australia. The Parliament of the Republic of South Africa and its Provincial Legislatures are participating in the proceedings informing this 67th Commonwealth Parliamentary Conference, from the 3rd until the 08th November 2024.
This conference brings about branches from all 9 regions of the Commonwealth, residing in different continents of the world. Geopolitically, these branches seek to pursue different perspectives aimed at advancing parliamentary democracy, transformation of our structural economies, sustainable development under different political environments of underdevelopment, poverty, unemployment and inequality. Since the conference took off on the 3rd, the thematic areas to which delegates will share best practices, experiences and perspectives with other parliamentarians will be under the theme: ‘Engage, Empower, Sustain: Charting the Course of Resilience of Democracy’!
