The North West Provincial Legislature Portfolio Committee on Community Safety and Transport Management led by Hon Freddy Sonakile invites all media houses to a media briefing that will outline outcomes of its recent three-day oversight visit to the North West Transport Investment (NTI) Head Office and depots, that took place on 01 – 03 October 2024.
The Committee will present its findings and outline the actions it will take in response to the NTI matter. The Chairperson of the Committee, Hon Freddy Sonakile, described these findings as “the great North West heist, which can’t be quantified.”
The media briefing will follow engagements with law enforcement agencies (SAPS, SIU, Hawks), Chapter 9 institutions (Auditor General, Human Rights Commission, Public Protector), the Public Service Commission, and the Department of Labour and Employment.
