North West Legislature Committee on Health To Visit Mahikeng Provincial Hospital Over Allegations of New Born Babies Placed on Boxes

The North West Provincial Legislature’s Portfolio Committee on Health and Social Development led by Chairperson of Committees, Hon. Kabelo Mataboge will conduct an oversight visit at Mahikeng Provincial Hospital to seek clarity on the allegations of new born babies that were placed on boxes. This follows media reports that the new born babies were placed on the boxes due to shortages of incubators and hospital beds.

The oversight visit will commence at follows:

Relevant stakeholders from the department including hospital management and Board and the labour union will attend the oversight visit.
