On Wednesday, 26 April 2023, the North West Provincial Legislature’s Standing Committee on Oversight of the North West Provincial Legislature led by Hon Jacquiline Theologo will hold a virtual meeting with the Speaker of the North West Provincial Legislature, Hon Basetsana RS Dantjie including senior officials of the Legislature at 10h00.
The North West Legislature will give the committee a presentation on the following issues:
1. The Internal Audit Committee scope of work versus the External Auditors, their work on UIFW (Unauthorised, Irregular. Fruitless and Wasteful expenditure).
2. The minutes of the Internal Audit Committee meetings from 2019 – 2023.
3. Investigation reports undertaken by the Committee since 2019, and how the NWPL dealt with the findings.
4. Report on the findings of internal audit given to the Accounting Officer and the Executive Authority.
5. Report on the findings on the appointment of Consultants and long – term service providers.
